Summary

Hello! Two years ago, I graduated with a civil engineering degree. After about nine months of searching for a job, I found one closely related to my field. However, I quickly realized that the civil engineering field differed from one I could see myself working in for the foreseeable future.

With that realization, I took it upon myself to determine what I wanted to do with my career. After researching and speaking with friends and professional connections, I concluded that I wanted to be a product manager. However, the road to becoming one is a complex one. However, after speaking with one of my connections, they recommended I apply for a customer success role at the startup fintech company they worked for. Customer success was different from what I wanted to do. However, the company's goals and mission truly intrigued me, and I knew that if I worked hard and took the time to learn the product and the business, there was a possibility that I would be able to move within the company after some time.

Unfortunately, I was impacted by the massive amount of tech layoffs. I could not continue to pursue my goal at this company even though I had been doing exceptionally well in my position. Since then, I've taken a two-month program for product management, and I'm finishing my Google Data Analytics Professional degree. I'm hoping that Mirajobs can assist me in finding a great fit!

Expectations

As I start a new job, I have several expectations. Firstly, I'm looking forward to growing and developing, whether it's by learning new skills, gaining experience, or advancing my career. It's important to me that my new role offers opportunities for personal and professional growth. I also value a positive work environment where I feel comfortable, supported, and valued. This can help foster collaboration, innovation, and creativity, leading to better job satisfaction and overall wellbeing. Additionally, having a good team is crucial for me, with people who can provide support, collaboration, and guidance as needed. They can help me navigate challenges and reach my goals. Finally, clear expectations, feedback, and performance goals are important to me. They can help me understand what's expected of me and where I stand in my role. By keeping these expectations in mind, I hope to succeed and fulfill my potential in my new job.
