Summary

I am an experienced leader and communicator with a passion for emerging technology. For the past eight years, I worked as co-founder and CEO of a VR-based medical device startup company and held direct responsibility for all company operations. My team of 12 developed a cloud-based diagnostic/therapeutic gaming platform for children suffering from a common vision disorder. Our technology stack included Unity/C# and Python for game design, and multiple web development tools for a patient portal. While my initial technical contributions served as the foundational basis for my company, I later shifted my role to a more formal Product Manager archetype. In my spare time, I teach college-level engineering courses, and enjoy rock climbing and skydiving.

Expectations

I am extremely passionate about the healthcare space; coming from a family of physicians, Ive always endeavored to work for the greater good of society via medically significant projects. My startup awarded me hands-on experience in a variety of roles, from software developer to compliance officer to product manager to CEO, and gave me a deep understanding of how to best manage workflows and dependencies for a team with varied backgrounds and technical skill sets. I look forward to the opportunity to a team in a healthcare or healthcare-adjacent space, where my strong hands-on knowledge of the day-to-day intricacies of health technology development will be put to the test.
