Implemented over $200,000 cost product reduction projects by redesigning and unifying automotive components, identifying, benchmarking and qualifying our competitors.
Developed and optimized designs of components Washer bottle, Leafscreen, Rocker panels, Gear Tunnel Hinges and Dash Panel Closeout of RIVIAN A1T mule vehicle and achieved my target of releasing them to manufacturing within the compressed due date.
Managed up to 7 projects at a time from concept to implementation by leading cross-functional teams for project scoping, evaluation plan development, prototyping, scheduling, problems resolution and technical reviews.
Created design of over 10 consumer interface components that has ergonomic values and exceeding Marketing requirements. Designed plastic, die cast, machined sheet metal parts and assemblies.
Set specs, revised Bill of Materials, developed test fixtures, wrote procedures, and trained Associates on various designs of components.
Developed and optimized plastic component designs of B&C pillars, skull caps, lift- gate light brackets in Ford police vehicles( Explorer & Fusion) to reduce the overall structural weight.
Initiated APQP process to meet the Ford police vehicle program requirements, also optimized and released sheet metal component designs of Ballistic Panels, Underbody Shields, console mounting plates and various other trim parts.
Person in charge of all communication with customers for all design, technical specifications, and schedule related issues throughout the vehicle development cycle.
Created new datum schemes and GD&T on various component drawings.
Attended weekly safety meetings and training seminars to learn regulations and processes specific to the automotive industry.
