Principal Product Manager

Summary

Managed a team of software developers and product managers producing software applications for internal Test & Flight Operations teams involved in component testing, system testing, vehicle integration, MRO (maintenance & refurbishment operations), launch operations and mission operations. This was a dual role also serving as a Business Partner for the TFO (Test & Flight Operations) teams throughout the organization. This part of the role involved building relationships with team members from VP level down to individual contributors working at the launch pad, understanding their business, documenting their needs and requirements, and then working with my own development team or with other development teams to evaluate potential solutions. Those solutions could include recommendations for business process changes, integrations between existing systems, adding features to existing applications, writing completely new applications, or in some cases purchasing and implementing COTs software solutions that solved the problem.
