Collaborated with the Chief Architect in establishing (creating team, authorizing the charter, documenting the policy) the company's first Open-Source Council to review open-source software usage at the organization
Represent the infrastructure organization in the technology risk review governance of all third-party vendors. Developed a process to review vendor documents (SIG, SOC2, ISO, questionnaires, etc.) and provide diligence assessments resulting in a control effectiveness risk rating for each vendor, identifying its overall risk footprint to the company
Led the strategy towards establishing the security and governance framework for the banks first public IaaS implementation in AWS. Collaborated with the Cloud Center of Excellence to develop support processes, change management, RACI support structures, and guardrails for the application
Created a methodology towards onboarding SaaS applications, including a framework towards assessing risk, incorporating various domain specifications to review for appropriate risk
Acted as the point in partnering with internal audit to develop solutions to MRA and MRIAS by closely working with stakeholders towards implementing remediations. Developed action plans in accordance with the risks identified, and organized teams towards identifying a solution to the findings
Created the company's first BYOD policy. Worked closely with Legal, HR, Operations, and Cybersecurity in authoring the company's BYOD strategy. Negotiated executive support from the CTO to manifest the strategy
Authored the company's first Cloud Computing Strategy, encompassing the areas where the organization should target for cloud technologies. Collaborated with over thirty individuals across various departments to ensure holistic requirements and vision were shared. The core aspect of the strategy highlighted the top fifty applications for the organization and identified the characteristics (health assessment) of each that would make them ideal or non-ideal candidates to migrate to the cloud
Architected and designed an end-to-end MVP implementation of an automated server deployment and an early pilot of infrastructure automation utilizing Cisco CIAC and Newscale technologies on top of Cisco UCS blades and Hitachi storage. This was the companys first exposure to automation in a private cloud style implementation
