Summary

With nearly a decade of experience in mathematical research specializing in geometry, I have developed an ability to initiate and manage long-term collaborative projects. My previous training as a computer scientist and professional work as a software developer have given me a diversity of skills and experiences that I use to tackle hard problems from multiple directions. I especially thrive in stimulating positive environments that enable me to contribute in meaningful ways to both my organization and society in general.

As a teacher, I have fostered inclusive learning spaces to help hundreds of students understand and assimilate challenging mathematical material, resulting in improved academic performance. Mentoring multiple groups of undergraduate students through research projects has taught me how to communicate complex material to general audiences.

I am currently in the process of transitioning out of theoretical research and into a team-oriented position where I can work on impactful problems using my mathematical and technical skills; this includes positions in machine learning, data science and related areas.
