Summary

I find joy in solving problems that directly impact the ROI with data-driven techniques that I picked up from school and internship experiences. As an Engineering student working in tech roles, I have always been required to move and learn fast. I take pride in my agility to learn and understand concepts which enabled me in accomplishing results in my internship and personal goals. This is also accompanied by my willingness to learn and working hard to achieve my goals.

In my studies and internships, I have gained a strong foundation in data analysis, statistical modelling, and machine learning. I have completed several projects where I have applied these skills to solve real-world problems, such as developing a novel edge representation model for edge downstream tasks using Graph Neural Network, developing a recommendation system to optimise profitability from a 20000 m^2 of land, automating information extraction through connecting multiple databases (API and database connections) together which would then be used for business decision making, and many more. This could happen due to the strong understanding of programming languages such as Python, Java, R, SQL querying, data warehouse management and wrangling, and worked on a Map Reduce project using Hadoop Framework.

Furthermore, I also take joy in my participation in school clubs and teaching assistantship at NUS, which allowed me to hone my communication skill which would be essential as a data analyst. I have taken up presidential roles in the Christian Fellowship I led in school, and many other community engagement communities. I have also taught statistical and machine learning classes to freshmen, which helped deepen my conceptual understanding and honed my communication skills.

Expectations

In the new job, I expect myself to grow together with great co-workers both in hard skills and soft skills through a healthy office environment. I also thrive to achieve financial stability as I start to save for my future house and car.
