Machine/Deep Learning Engineer, Data Scientist

Summary

I have 5+ years of experience in the AI/ML space, mainly working in healthcare for the last 3. I have a passion for applying ML/DL in socially good settings, contributing my skillset towards pro-bono AI projects in the past (Omdena, FruitPunch.AI, etc.). My skillset primarily covers PyTorch, Keras, Tensorflow, SciPy, Sci-kit learn, and the rest of the Python Data Science "stack", and I have a good knowledge of the start-to-end ML production pipeline. I've built Computer Vision applications in the past, and mainly have worked with tabular, numerical data for prediction (cancer genomics, CGM monitoring, etc.) I'm continuing on expanding my toolbox to include LLMs and other generative AI techniques as that's where the industry seems to be going, and continuing to learn more about MLOps as many state-of-the-art models are pre-trained and just need to be applied in the pipeline. I hope my next opportunity will be fruitful, and although I love working in healthcare, I'm also open to the environmental sciences, general tech, or any AI for Good opportunities. I also have experience in teaching ML/DL as a mentor in the past, and I also have two published works in the AI/DS space.

Expectations

With my next opportunity, I'm hoping it'll be in healthcare, environmental sciences, general tech (I.E. FAANG+), or any AI for Good organization with a strong mission to make people's lives better with AI. I'm more partial to healthcare as I've gained the most experience applying AI/ML techniques there.
