Localisation Specialist

Summary

For 6 years I worked as a lead translator for Gameforge, localizing videogame content of all sorts
(in-game content, interface, websites, marketing, interviews, voice-overs), using the Jira interface
and Mantis for the tickets. I also coordinated a team of freelance vendors, proofreading their
translations and creating Style Guides and Manuals.
I supervised teams of voice actors in collaboration with the recording studios in order to create
localized voice-overs.
During the 6 years at Gameforge, I worked in close contact with the Localization Managers, the
Community Managers, the Marketing Team and the Project Managers of the game teams, creating
documentation that helped them have more insight in the localization process and its challenges.
I've worked with the multicultural team of translators, leads and localization managers, exchanging
ideas and discussing issues during weekly meetings and stand-ups. Since 2017 I've been working as
a freelance translator for Gameforge and other game companies and studios. In addition to that, I
am working as a freelance localization manager for Social Sweethearts, adapting Facebook quizzes
and giving guidelines to the team of translators.

Expectations

I would like to put my extensive experience in the videogame localization field to use, developing my skills further and approaching new areas like tv shows, publishing, marketing, social media and software.
