Legal advisor with INGOs
Summary
Lead the process of revising and enhancing content related to critical issues, such as complex legal cases
affecting vulnerable individuals and conflict-affected households, housing, land, and property rights for
internally displaced persons (IDPs), and employment law and work rights.
Facilitate regular reflection sessions with field staff, leveraging data and insights to inform program
development strategies effectively.
Ensure the establishment and maintenance of quality control measures by actively supporting the
development of monitoring and evaluation tools, guidelines, and procedures at both output and outcome
levels. This involves consistent documentation and communication of lessons learned and the promotion of
uniform usage of ICLA tools, templates, and information across Area Offices (AOs).
Strengthen the implementation of high-quality programs in Area Offices (AOs) through capacity-building initiatives for project coordinators, routine review of legal assistance cases, and providing support to AO
management in budgeting, reporting, and activity planning as required.
Contribute to the advancement of ICLA research by participating in the development of assessment tools,
coordinating data collection from AO case files and databases, conducting research on legal
developments in Iraq, and documenting information pertaining to children born during the conflict.
Collaborate with the Country Office (CO) and AOs on digital ICLA initiatives, including the review and
enhancement of digital content and resources.
Act as a representative of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in relevant forums, including
engagements with national authorities and donors, to address topics related to documentation for
vulnerable and conflict-affected families, as well as educational documentation for out-of-school children.
