As humanitarian Aid Worker Holding masters degree in public law and have more 9 years of experience with International NGOs across Iraq, in which, I have gained significant experience in project management and program operations to support the conflict-affected populations across Iraq to get enhanced access to the services and to meet their humanitarian needs.
Currently, I am serving Legal expert position with United Nations Development Program (UNDP), while previously I worked for NRC for more than seven years in different roles including ICLA Adviser, ICLA Project manager for Kirkuk and Anbar, the extensive challenging experiences I have gained in the different areas that I worked in, cultivated my skills and provided me with the necessary qualifications for being a dedicated member of a team that I would with.
In my career in the humanitarian field, I have been working on the development of guidelines, program strategy, project designs, donor reports, and facilitation of internal and external seminars. In addition to the provision of technical guidelines to the legal assistance program teams in the areas of intervention across the country, further to that, I have been working on the development of project work plans, logical frameworks, and donor reports. Moreover, I have been engaged in the different phases of project cycle management including needs assessment and analysis, project design, proposal writing, strategy development, budgeting, monitoring project activities in the field, post-implementation monitoring, progress review meetings, donor reporting, internal evaluation, and facilitating external evaluation. Therefore, I have gained extensive familiarity with the legal frameworks concerning the legal needs of conflict and displacement-affected and vulnerable communities.
Furthermore, I have been involved in plenty of advocacy efforts of my employers at the area and country level to enhance targeted communities access to services, in addition to the development of technical guidelines and SOPs, coordination with authorities, team management, capacity building, facilitating internal and external seminars and workshops, representing the employers that I worked in external forums, chairing sub-cluster meetings, local partner identification, liaison management with partners and stakeholder, and donor reporting. In the past years of my career, I was able to build new systems of intervention in the operational areas that I worked in accompanied by the identification of new areas of program operations.
