Lead Geoscientist

Summary

I have worked in core areas like the USGOM basin and at the same time providing new areas to explore and deepening positions in other basins like the greater Atlantic margin. I have previously worked with several operators, ranging from the business development component to more grassroot developments by applying strong petroleum system analyses in often neglected stratigraphic intervals. I was involved in the development of new play areas much of them now in our portfolio. I have identified and proposed access to new opportunities using the source to sink approach, specifically the new play areas that came out of our work on the Chiapas - Veracruz fan in offshore Mexico which some of our competitors (Sierra, Repsol, Shell) are now capturing value after drilling in the Pliocene - Miocene intervals within the fan. I was part of the team that identified, mature and drilled several of our new country entries within the Atlantic margin, including the Bay du Nord - 1 well in the Flemish Pass basin, offshore Canada, Raya - 1 well in offshore Uruguay and currently working with the team that will spud the Argerich -1 offshore Argentina. I think you can benefit from my previous experience as well as to establish a fruitful collaboration with other operators in the different basins that the company has assets. The skillset I can bring to the table on stratigraphic analysis is versatile and with deep understanding of several stratigraphic models. Ive been part of the research team that is developing new approaches to perform stratigraphic analysis, specifically the source to sink approach but also the new applied research and techniques on mixed siliciclastic - carbonates systems which we proved highly rewarding on new basin entries in Nova Scotia and Brazil. One more skill and technique I have developed through my career is chemostratigraphy, specifically rock - fluids correlations using diamondoids and lately machine learning techniques for stratigraphic zonations of reservoirs, this last technique I successfully applied in onshore Texas for the characterization of unconventional reservoirs (Eagle Ford and Austin Chalk) and also in Algeria for the stratigraphic understanding of glacial deposits, its distribution and prediction of reservoir tops for the drilling campaign of 2022-2023.

I would welcome the chance to discuss this summary of work with you and show you how my deliveries and way of working so far could translate into more business growth for your company

Expectations

Im looking to actively contribute to drilling campaigns in a diverse and prolific basin here in US or abroad. Actively advise teams on production forecasts and locations for future production or injector wells.
