Summary

As an Android developer with 7 + years of experience, I have a solid foundation in computer science and engineering, having completed both my B.Tech and M.Tech degrees in the field. My journey began with a keen interest in mobile application development, which led me to specialize in Android development. My academic background has provided me with a strong foundation in programming, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns, equipping me with the technical skills necessary to tackle complex development challenges.

Throughout my career, I have worked on a variety of projects, ranging from sports and commerce applications to educational and event-based platforms. My experience spans several companies, including Elementary Logic, Erudite, Strosin, Nolan and Pfeffer, Miller - Windler, and Inspire Co, where I developed and maintained Android applications using Java and Kotlin languages. My work has involved integrating RESTful APIs, developing user interfaces, optimizing application performance, and troubleshooting and resolving application issues.

One of my major achievements was part of a two-person team that built the first two native Android apps for Favor: Consumer and Runner. The Consumer app was developed under strict launch deadlines, where I assisted the lead developer in implementing design layouts and building many of the app functions. The Runner-side app, which I owned, was built from the ground up, matching the design provided by the design team and coding all necessary functionalities for device communication with Favor's backend.

In addition to my technical skills, I have a strong understanding of Android components like Activities, Services, Broadcast Receivers, and Google Maps. My experience extends to proficiency in SQL, JSOUP, JDBC, JSON, JSP, and a wide range of Android Framework APIs. I've also gained hands-on experience with Android Geo-location services, Android SDK, NDK, Java, Linux, and have a deep knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, and memory management specific to mobile devices.

My contributions have not only enhanced the functionality and user experience of the applications I've worked on but also contributed to a 15% increase in user engagement in one of my projects by optimizing application performance. I've integrated Google Maps API and Firebase cloud messaging to enhance application functionality, demonstrating my ability to leverage third-party libraries and APIs to meet business requirements.
