Junior Software Engineer
Summary
As a recent graduate of Makers Academy, a highly selective software development bootcamp, I have honed my skills in Agile/XP methodologies, OOP, TDD, and SOLID principles. My proficiency in programming languages such as Ruby and Javascript, and experience with frameworks such as Sinatra, Express, React, and React-Native, has been demonstrated throughout the program. I am also knowledgeable in using MongoDB and PostgreSQL. My programs have been thoroughly tested using testing tools such as Jest, RSpec, and Cypress. My background in chemistry and experience in sales have also provided me with a strong foundation in problem-solving, analytical thinking, and team collaboration. I am now eager to put these skills and technical expertise to use in a software engineering role, where I can contribute to building and optimising high-performance applications.
Expectations
For me, one of the most important things in a job is having the opportunity to continually learn and develop. I'm particularly interested in upskilling and learning new technologies and programming languages.
Another key aspect for me is being challenged. I want to work on difficult problems and have the opportunity to innovate and come up with creative solutions.
In addition to that, I highly value working in an agile/XP environment where collaboration is encouraged. I think being able to learn from colleagues with more experience and knowledge around me is crucial to my growth as a professional.
