Summary

In my previous role as a software developer, I built, deployed, and maintained a microservice that automated the summarizing and publishing of customer call transcripts. Successful implementation of these processes required me to educate myself on multiple software platforms, such as Kubernetes, MongoDB, and AWS Cloud. To build a fully automated CI/CD pipeline, I utilized version-control software and several programming languages including Go, Python, and JavaScript. Additionally, my work required presenting to top-level management and engineering teams, as well as defining the next steps with product managers and design teams. Through this experience, I gained the confidence to handle complex problem-solving situations and learned the importance of taking the initiative and trying unconventional paths to create services and products that have never been built before.

In my year-long experience as a teaching assistant and peer mentor, I further developed my leadership and public speaking skills. Leading student discussion sessions required me to not only have a deep understanding of the course material but also the ability to find student knowledge gaps, explain complex concepts, and impact students understanding of the material. Contributing to students success was rewarding and taught me the importance of excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to different learning styles.

I have always been interested in solving interesting and complex problems, and the opportunities of working on such projects while contributing to people's success, happiness, and general technological progress excite me. With years of mathematical education and extensive programming experience, and a deep passion for problem-solving I believe my skills and experience make me well-suited to contribute effectively to any SWE team.
