Summary

I spent nearly 20 years in the automotive industry in the Department of Defense (maintained a Secret clearance for most of my career). After being medically retired from the Army, I am looking to pursue a childhood dream of working in the technology industry. I would love the opportunity to work with your company as an intern to 1.) accomplish a graduation requirement, and 2.) to prove to you I would be a great fit for your company!
I am currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Technology: Software Development program, slated to be complete in December 2024. Through this program I have completed a web development course that taught HTML, CSS, and JavaScript through the creation of a multi-page responsive website over the course of the semester and uploaded it to GitHub. I also have taken courses on SQL, C#, and Python. This upcoming semester I am enrolled in a Linux server class, .NET, and Mobile App Development courses.
I am currently enrolled in The Odin Project (theodinproject.com). I completed the Foundations course on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and am now mid-way through the Ruby Basics course. TOP requires the use of GitHub as a code repository and version control.
I have more than 3 years' experience using HTML and CSS for personal and semi-professional work.
Over the years I have dabbled in programming using Java, Visual Basic, BASIC (on a Commodore 64), and a multitude of others languages.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Administrative Leadership, as well as two A.A.S degrees, one Business, and the other in Enterprise Development (Electrical Engineering Technology-related courses).

Expectations

I am looking for a company that does not get involved in politics, offers a fair wage, and understands their employees have lives outside of work. I believe that a company that invests in their employees, will receive a hefty return on their investment through hard work, and dedication to mission accomplishment.
