Summary

I am a self-taught full stack web developer. My degree is a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon Tech. After college I began programming as a hobby, and I grew to appreciate software development more than hardware development.

My skills include both frontend and backend technologies, specifically:

HTML/CSS/JavaScript
Node.JS w/ Express.JS to build REST APIs
MongoDB for databases
Bootstrap and React.JS frontend libraries

I am also familiar with some AWS services, including IAM, EC2, S3, and DynamoDB.

Expectations

I am looking for a position that is pretty equally frontend and backend, but am open to either side being significantly more dominant.

I prefer a moderate pace environmentI do not want to work a consistent 60+ hours a week, and neither do I want to spend most of my day waiting around for something to do. My goal is to go from Junior Dev to Senior Dev within 3 years, this is not possible if I'm burning out or if I am doing nothing.

Opportunities that go above and beyond with upskilling are a plus! I am especially interested with opportunities to learn more AWS or Machine Learning skills.
