Expectations

As a junior developer, my primary expectation is to learn and grow in a role. I also expect to receive feedback on my work, take on new challenges and expand my skillset.
I will expect to contribute to the development process and follow the coding standards set by my team.
I also believe effective communication and collaboration are important aspects of a job.
I expect to follow industry best practices and coding standards; this includes writing modular and reusable code, using version control systems like Git, documenting my work, and adhering to security and performance guidelines.
Learning and implementing best practices help develop high-quality and scalable applications and
problem-solving is a critical skill for web developers. I will need to identify and troubleshoot issues that arise during development. This involves debugging code, researching solutions, and collaborating with my team to find effective solutions.
I will expect to be given tasks and assignments with specific timelines and proactively communicate if I encounter any challenges or anticipate delays, and work with the team to find solutions.
As a junior developer, I have a growth mindset and I am open to continuous learning. I like to stay updated with the latest web development trends, technologies, and frameworks. I like to take advantage of learning opportunities provided by my employer, and seek out additional resources and online courses to enhance your skills.
The tech industry is dynamic, and projects can change rapidly. I expect to have to be adaptable and flexible in my work. I may need to learn new technologies or adjust to evolving project requirements. I embrace change and can demonstrate a willingness to step outside my comfort zone.
