I have walked the long path from the halls of System Administration to the frontlines of enterprise Java development. For over 14 years, I have forged code within the crucible of high-load backend systems, mastering technologies such as Java, Spring Framework, SQL, Kafka, and Microservices. My early years in network architecture granted me a rare tactical understanding of systems from their very foundations - from bare metal to distributed cloud infrastructures.

Across my service with companies such as Apple, Pearson, BackBase, and Vanguard, I have stood as a Senior Engineer, crafting scalable APIs, integrating vast systems, and reforging monoliths into resilient microservices. I have wielded GraphQL, Kafka queues, and reactive streams to eliminate performance bottlenecks, turning long waits into swift and seamless experiences.

Beyond professional campaigns, I have forged my own creation - iCoup, an online multiplayer card game built from the ground up using Java 21, Spring Boot, WebSockets, and TypeScript - a testament to both my technical command and creative spirit.

Expectations

My preferred primary language is Java or Kotlin, and I focus on backend development for desktop or web applications. I would also be interested in exploring Android development again - I experimented with it once in the past while testing a small application. From an employer, I expect clearly defined requirements and goals, as it is impossible to build a successful application without a shared understanding of its purpose and logic. I can also assist in shaping those requirements to ensure the project is built on solid ground.
