IT Support Specialist
Summary
I have always had an interest in technology from a very young age, although I was not exposed to it until I got into college. My career started from college days, finding my niche was easy for me I love helping people when they are faced with any IT challenge and got a great deal of satisfaction when I could make my own little difference. My interest was heighted when I did a 6 months internship program in Danelec Electrical / Electronic Engineering Construction and Services there I got my first hand professional experience in IT support. I was trained to provide support to staff (handled but software and hardware).
I further proceeded to do my one-year compulsory service to my country where I was posted to an office where I also provided IT support to people. This was on a different level altogether, people from all works of life came into the court and they need to do affidavit. I not only did IT support but I also gained useful experience in customer support. While working here my major achievement was that I was able to resolve and listen to every customer that was assigned to them, made sure that I provided support accurately and efficiently.
Presently, I work in an organization where I work as an IT support specialist, I provide support ranging from staff support to application support and IT facility support. Every IT equipment including servers, cisco switch, intercoms, laptops, desktop, printers and IP phones, I also provide network administration support and Microsoft office support. I have been applauded severally by my supervisor for bringing innovative ideas to resolve technical issues and my resilience when faced with technical challenges. I have received appraisal from managers about how I carry out my task dutifully and efficiently these has been some of my major achievements.
My career goal is to be relevant in the It support and customer support Space. In the next five years and more, I will still be in the Tech support space because this is something I enjoy doing and it makes it all worthwhile. I want to grow and be able to solve technical issues for people all over the world, give intelligent answers and support.
