Geographic Information System analyst with 13 years experience on multiple projects that encompassed oil & gas risk assessment, natural resource conservation and sustainability, large scale hydrological processes, wildfire, and climate change. Software Engineer and Geospatial Data Scientist with 10+ years of experience with Python, highly experienced in proprietary and opensource programing languages such as Arcpy, numpy, Scipy, Laspy, Geopandas, Shapely, Fiona, OGR, Rasterio, GDAL, PDAL, etc. Used highly variable source data types, sizes, and formats using resources spanning the tech stack to create reliable and scalable applications. I have created novel datasets of empirical information by utilizing a cloud-based platform, integrating ESRI products with open-source software (GDAL, PDAL, Python, Scipy, Laspy, Geopandas, Shapely, OGR, Rasterio, etc.) to produce analytics and complex models run in parallel to process vast amounts of data. Developed complex analytical models using integrated development environments (e.g., Spyder, VS code, etc.) to process large scale environmental impact assessment using lidar and publicly available data. Used the opensource programming languages above integrated with Arcpy to write custom scripts/tools to perform complex operations in a parallel framework. Created a parallel and distributed work process to perform complex operation on extremely large amounts of data.

Expectations

My academic and professional experiences focus on using geospatial data and data science to understand the environmental factors that influence human activity. I am fascinated by how spatial relationships affect environmental process, such as biodiversity and natural resources. Currently, my goal is to obtain a position that will utilize these skills and expand them.
