Summary

I'm a software engineer with a masters degree and 3 years of experience in the industry. I worked in big tech for nearly 2 years building critical back-end infrastructure as well as websites used by warehouse workers to track shipments in real-time. I wrote low-latency code to store, process, and display millions of data points per minute to thousands of users. I worked extensively with building AWS architecture as code using CDK, and gained experience monitoring systems that have catastrophic impact if they go down.

I'm most experienced in Kotlin, Java, Typescript/React, and Python. I have experience designing and creating SQL and NoSQL databases including DynamoDB and MongoDB. I'm comfortable using just about every major AWS service and have used the AWS CDK for all 3 years I've worked.

Some other things I've done:
* Passed the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Exam in August 2019
* Tutored student athletes at a major university in computer science, math, physics, and dinosaurs
* Nearly broke the world record for longest latex balloon flight. Used C/C++ to write a vent/ballast algorithm with a Raspberry Pi controller.

Expectations

I'm looking for a job that challenges me. I'm very open to learning new technologies and want to solve interesting problems that have no clear solution.
