Summary

I am a full-stack software engineer transitioning out of an 11-year career in the healthcare field, specifically in women's health. In my previous role, I both oversaw clinical administrative operations of a 100+ patient clinic and assisted as a care provider on our clinical team. I was at my last workplace for over six years, and during my time there saw our patient load nearly double, helping shape the policies that eased any growing pains. I am passionate about educating and positively affecting others, and am consummately communicative, empathetic, and hard-working.

As a software engineer, I bring my long-nourished problem-solving skills and excellent people skills to the table. I have experience in Python, Flask, JavaScript, React, SQL, and CSS/HTML. I enjoy building applications from start to finish, and finding those components that work best together for the task at hand. I am a newcomer to the field but hungry to learn, and thrive when challenged and encouraged. New technologies are never off the table; I welcome any invitation to expand my skill set while continuing to hone that which I'm familiar with.

Expectations

I am seeking a workplace that is collaborative, diverse, supportive, and open to new perspectives. I would like the opportunity to ask questions without reservation, and to teach others when it feels appropriate. Above all, I want to be respected by my employer. When treated well, I consider myself to be an exceptionally loyal employee who loves her job, and given this I would ideally find a place to call my professional home for the next several years.

Remote work is definitely preferred in order to help me keep a healthy work/life balance, but I am open to hybrid and in-office roles as well. I currently live in the Phoenix metropolitan area and I'm not interested in relocating at this time.
