Summary

I have been a software engineer hobbyist for over 15 years. I have worked on projects with teams, completed courses on Udemy and finished the coding boot camp App Academy without any deferral. As a full stack engineer I am experienced in front end languages and frameworks such as: React, Redux, HTML5, and CSS. And back end; JavaScript, Python, PHP, SQL, TypeScript. As a software engineer I learned additional languages such as: C++, LUA, and XML. I am also familiar with tools such as: AWS, Docker, RDBMS, Debuggers, and GitHub.

Over the years I have mastered essential developer skills required to pick up languages quickly and understand code that was previously written by other developers. Going through the App Academy boot camp really helped me refine my abilities of learning in a fast-paced environment and demonstrating the knowledge gained. I have also adopted the Agile methodology and worked in TDD (Test-Driven Development) environments.

Before I attended the boot camp I worked in various jobs. I learned many useful skills including working with teams, instructing new employees, customer service, time management, and professionalism. Even though these jobs taught me a lot and helped keep food on my table I have always wanted to work as a developer. Ideally, working with a team that promotes learning and creativity.

I only know one human language, so I have decided to learn every programming and scripting language. I am excited to learn from and make new connections in the developer world.

Expectations

I am looking for a place where I can learn, grow, and make great connections in the development world. Ideally, a face-paced team work environment that allows room for improvement for its developers.
