Summary

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine, and I currently hold a position as a Support Onsite Lead at Tata Consultancy Services. I lead a technical support team to provide direct services and assistance to end users of a cloud-based application, while also collaborating with a Scrum team of developers, business associates, and testers to troubleshoot more critical issues as well as aid in integrating new software releases to the application.
My career passion is to be a software engineer, and I have studied numerous programming languages during my college career, such as Python and Java. Most notably, I have taken part in multiple academic projects to study and build full stack web applications. I learned web development fundamentals, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL completely on my own to succeed in creating these projects. More recently, I was introduced to tech stacks and for my most recent project, I utilized the MEAN stack to build a fashion shopping e-commerce website end-to-end. I am currently taking introductory courses in Spring Boot as it's a very common modern technology used in companies today.
I am constantly trying to grow my skills, however I find it best for me to learn hands-on in a professional context. Therefore, I am hoping to start my career in software engineering at an entry level position so I can refine and learn new skills necessary to succeed in the role.

Expectations

I am expecting my new job to be a very respectful environment that prioritizes individual growth in my skills, and paves the way to understanding the software engineering industry. At an entry level position, I should be expected to be challenged, but not in a way that is inappropriate to my level. I am also hoping for a very collaborative team full of members who are more than eager to develop a positive professional relationship with me and are willing to push me to do my best work. In terms of the compensation and benefits, I expect a very fair offer, considering that I am based in the Bay Area.
