Full Stack Developer

Summary

I am a software developer with a focus on building tools that make complex data and workflows easier to manage. My background spans from working in regulated healthcare environments at UHN to building automation-heavy features at Tereo.

One of my biggest professional achievements was at Tereo, where I identified a critical database bottleneck (a Cartesian product issue) and refactored the SQL logic to reduce query times from 5 seconds to 300ms. This didn't just speed up the app, it stabilized the entire backend under high load. More recently, Ive been focused on workflow automation, building a task scheduler from the ground up that allows users to define their own automation logic, reducing manual work for our team and our clients.

Im a big believer in using the right tool for the job. While Ive spent a lot of time in the TypeScript ecosystem lately, Im very comfortable in Python and appreciate its role in building robust, observable backend systems. I have also adopted AI-assisted coding tools like Cursor and Claude, which help me maintain a high development velocity without sacrificing code quality.

Expectations

For my next role, I want to be where I can continue to grow technically, take on more ownership, and work on meaningful systems, ideally in a team where I can learn from strong leaders and fellow engineers, and contribute in a real way.
