Summary

I am a software developer with exceptional communication skills and a collaborative nature. I have a proven track record of leading teams to deliver exceptional outcomes and I bring a results-driven mindset to all projects. My technical skills include HTML, CSS, TailwindCSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, Java SE, Java EE (Servlets, JSP), Spring, MySQL, Thymeleaf, Object-Oriented Programming, Test-Driven Development, Version Control with Git, and Paired Programming.

One of my notable development projects is Furever.space, a social media application that allows pet owners to create events and interact with other pet owners locally or nationwide. I have also worked on the Ad Lister project, a web application that allows users to view, create, edit, and delete ad listings, as well as the Coffee Project, which is a web application that uses JavaScript to dynamically display the coffees array and manipulate the DOM. Additionally, I have experience with using APIs such as OpenWeatherMap API and fetch API to display weather conditions and create a movie database that allows users to search for movies and add them to a list of favorites.

Before becoming a software developer, I served in the United States Army as a Human Resources Manager, where I established a Human Resources department of 4 during a deployment to provide administrative support for over 252 Soldiers. I also worked as a Human Resources Clerk at Metis Technological Solutions and as a Data Entry Specialist Intern at ComplianceEase, Inc.

I hold a Certification of Completion from Codeup, a fully-immersive, project-based, and intensive 20-week Full-Stack Java Career Accelerator that provides students with 670 hours of expert instruction in software development. I also completed four years of undergrad business studies at San Francisco State University, where I focused on business management. I hold a Secret Clearance granted in June 2014.
