Summary

Hi y'all! I'm a front end software engineer with 2 years of professional experience using HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ember, React, Tailwind, Figma, Shortcut, Git, Github and personal experience exploring Next.js and Typescript! My first job in tech was with a SaaS fitness software called TrueCoach by Xplor Technologies. I have a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, so being able to tie in my 10+ years of experience in the fitness space with my new career in technology has been extremely fun! Unfortunately, I was impacted by a layoff and am now on the hunt for a new and exciting opportunity!

With many years competing as an athlete on teams, I value teamwork and paired working situations. But what my experience and background also brings is a hard working, dedicated, motivated, adaptable, willing, and strong candidate for this position. I recognize there are ups and downs when working with teams, but I understand that the main goal should remain clear. Working together to bring what is best for the company and the users of our products, and putting feelings and emotions aside when doing so.

I have the drive, perseverance, and determination to learn new technologies. I thrive in collaborative and team environments. Ive got a great sense of humor, am easy-going, communicative, know when to step back or show initiative in a group setting, and am 110% a team player. I love seeing things from different perspectives, listening and learning from others, and trying new approaches to solve problems.

With my knowledge of the above mentioned languages and frameworks, my experience working in fast paced, team environments, and my ability to adapt and learn new things quickly, I believe I would be a great addition to many teams out there!

Expectations

I'd love a culture fit first and foremost with the company I am working with. Being able to build trust with my coworkers is important for me to feel safe and vulnerable, ask questions, and continue to grow in my new career in tech. I'd like to surround myself with fun and intelligent people that inspire and motivate me to be the best I can be.
