Electrical Engineer

Summary

I am an Electrical Engineer who has worked in various roles at different companies. At Johnson & Johnson, I worked on the Next-Gen RF Generator team, the Surgical Robotics team, as well as the Electrical-Mechanical Development Team. I conducted in vivo and ex vivo tissue labs, developed automated systems using Python and MATLAB, and devised data acquisition systems. I spearheaded the qualification efforts for a Functional Circuit Tester and In-Circuit Tester at an offshore supplier, and was responsible for the electrical design and development efforts of a post-launch refresh of an electro-mechanical handpiece. In addition, I co-lead the HOLA Career Pillar, and was actively involved in co-op talent scouting.

As an Electrical Engineering Intern at Medtronic, I engineered novel tissue test systems and models to characterize the effects and correlation between surgical arcing, smoke generation, and generator settings on porcine muscle tissue. I also scripted in Diadem and applied Digital Signal Processing tools in MATLAB to understand spectral content and identifying features of surgical arcing and smoke generation.

As a Quality Engineering Intern at Medtronic, I co-led and initiated a Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) in regard to late MDRs in the Product Quality Experience Team, enhanced product integrity by monitoring quality control processes on the manufacturing line, and launched a Complaint Reduction Project which minimized total yearly time on high volume complaints.

As a Neuroscience Engineering Intern at Tucker-Davis Technologies, I pioneered new system test and analysis methods for neurophysiological equipment and software, and expanded customer data analysis support while troubleshooting customer system issues in real time.

As an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Brain Mapping Lab at the University of Florida, I quantified the neurorehabilitation of patients by acquiring intra and post-operative data using Deep Brain Stimulation, and interpreted neural signals using MATLAB and Python for development of new treatments ultimately leading to the identification of neural markers for patients suffering from Essential Tremor and Parkinsons Disorder.
