Summary

I have headed B2B2C product development and technology innovation for numerous startups and growth-mode businesses in a host of industries, including Energy Storage, Fiber Optic Networks, Smart Grid Infrastructure, Air Travel Scheduling & Pricing, Streaming Content, and Internet Delivery.

Across my 10-year product management career, I have led teams in producing core platform architecture, networking infrastructure, CRMs, firmware, product integration capabilities, and marketing automation tools.

Having always been a hands-on leader who is comfortable with ambiguity, I can bootstrap startup operations while building a lean, talented team of engineers and product managers capable of responding to escalating market demand. With the mindset of a CTO and the empathy of a product owner, I have managed the full Agile lifecycle of product development, including long-range planning, medium-term roadmapping, development of systems, libraries, and frameworks, oversight of onsite/remote engineering, and launch and marketing of the product. I particularly enjoy mapping out workflows and data flows to get everyone on the same page.

I enjoy managing both the business and technical sides of product development. In addition to driving engineering teams, I direct the efforts of, and collaborate extensively with, marketers, sales staff, customer success professionals, and other team members. As a product champion and evangelist, I led integrated marketing programs, including innovative awareness promotions such as hackathons and other tech competitions and industry events.

I excel at presenting complex concepts to non-technical audiences as well as building strategic alliances with a range of organizations, from technology vendors and government agencies to service providers and digital agencies. Having come through a career as a customer-facing integration engineer, I can talk the talk with business executives and engineers alike, while engaging customers directly to gauge sentiment and gather valuable feedback.

Expectations

I'm looking for leadership roles in Product Management, Infrastructure Engineering, and Systems Integration. Those are my sweet spots. My dream job would be as a Director of Product and Technology for a B2B2C platform, with a focus on infrastructure and APIs, working on both internal systems and client-facing solutions.
