Director of Channel (Partner) Sales
Summary
I am seeking a highly experienced and successful Channel Sales Director role. I have over 36 years of experience in the technology industry, specifically in data storage. I have a proven track record of building strong relationships with channel partners and driving revenue growth. Responsible for leading and managing the channel sales team, developing and executing channel sales strategies, and driving business expansion through effective partner engagement.
My Key Responsibilities have consisted of:
1. Channel Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive channel sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market share in the data storage technology sector.
- Identify and evaluate potential channel partners, assessing their capabilities, alignment with company objectives, and market reach.
- Collaborate with senior management to set channel sales goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy.
2. Channel Partner Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, acting as the main point of contact for all channel-related activities.
- Provide guidance and support to channel partners, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to effectively sell and promote our data storage solutions.
- Regularly assess channel partner performance, providing feedback and implementing improvement strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with channel partners to develop joint marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, and sales programs to drive demand and increase market penetration.
3. Sales Team Leadership:
- Lead, motivate, and manage the channel sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure individual and team success.
- Set clear sales targets and KPIs for the team, monitoring performance and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for development.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the channel sales team.
4. Market Analysis and Business Development:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics in the data storage technology sector.

- Minimum of 36 years of experience in channel sales, preferably in the technology industry with a focus on data storage.
- Proven track record of success in building and managing channel partner relationships, driving revenue growth, and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
