Director, Enterprise PMO

Summary

Enterprise PMO leader with 25+ years building portfolio governance structures where priorities compete, risk surfaces late, and executives lack sequencing visibility. Formed Avalara's CIO/CFO/COO-sponsored PPMO governing 500-700 initiatives during hypergrowth and IPO preparation. Reset T-Mobile's revenue technology portfolio across 500 initiatives and 100+ contributors, compressing delivery cycles 65% through intake discipline and tiered operating cadence. At Microsoft, unified governance across eight Software Assurance programs protecting $18.5B in contract exposure while leading 12 direct reports and 40+ matrixed contributors. Consistently retained for executive-sponsored engagements requiring portfolio signal restoration, capital sequencing controls, and decision-grade reporting.

Expectations

I'm seeking a Director or VP of Enterprise PMO role where I can own the governance architecture connecting strategy to execution. My ideal environment is a technology company with 500+ initiatives in flight, executive sponsors who understand that PMO is a decision-support function rather than a reporting factory, and real authority to reshape intake, prioritization, and sequencing discipline. Fully remote from Washington State is required. I'm drawn to organizations where the PMO has broken down or never existed I've built these functions from scratch before and know how to make them stick.
