In 23 years at Aetna, I have been focused primarily on gaining an all-encompassing knowledge of all medical insurance products and benefits, factoring in federal and state regulatory requirements, internal legal conditions, clinical policy, underwriting guidelines, and system administration parameters.
As the owner of descriptive member-facing plan design documents, I have been able to communicate the complexities of those insurance products in simple, straightforward terms.
Ive been a successful project manager in many arenas as well. I have experience working with IT partners - on system enhancements, defining business requirements, and testing outcomes. I have built relationships across a complex matrix of business partners and with external vendors to ensure mutual success.
My hyper-focus on continuous process improvement and root cause problem solving methodologies keeps teams engaged and performing at a high level. I am proud of my history of building teams with a culture of mutual support and respect, putting colleagues in a position to succeed and grow, all while balancing company needs.
