Summary

I have been working as a DevOps Engineer for past 6 years, I am currently part of a 7 member team working on a migration project in Loblaws. In that role I have taken up activities such as Implementing AWS codepipeline, writing Cloud Formation templates to provision the AWS resources like EC2, S3, EBS etc..and also for automating cloud deployments and Cloudwatch alerts. I also have experience using sensible for application deployments and environment configuration, provisioning high available infrastructure be it cloud or on-prem. I have written playbooks for automated setting up of the entire infrastructure right from the the web tier to the DB tier. Recently, I have been using Terraform scripts for provisioning of the environments in AWS where I have created Packer script for creating the base AMI which contains all the required software packages along with the required configurations that can be spun up anytime using the Terraform script. On the Microservices front, I have used Docker Engine for deploying non-prod environments and Kubernetes as orchestration engine to maintain the docker container on RHEL platforms. I have used Kubernetes in my client Coastal Financial for deployment of PODs, services and configuring Ingress, ELB, node Port for communication of the microservices over the internet. I also have strong experience in using python scripts where I have written it to query the unused resources with an AWS account and do billing optimisation and clean up of unused or stale resources within the account.
