DevOps Engineer
Summary
Most recently I worked as a technical lead on a project to migrate Jenkins CI/CD pipelines onto new Kubernetes based CI/CD tooling Codefresh. I helped to provision the backing infrastructure in Terraform, contributed to "steps" which are source-controlled iterative pieces of pipeline functionality that can be plugged into any calling pipeline (written in shell, bash, and python). Migration enabled us to deprecate on-premise OpenStack resources and licenses and enable a cloud-native CI/CD environment which granted us more granular control over scale, cost, build durations, maintainability and readability of pipelines.
With Codefresh we were then able to integrate with various other platforms and tools including HCP Vault for secrets management, including AWS IAM assume role and Azure service principals.
Expectations
I'm looking to join a company that values honesty, transparency, ownership and autonomy. I'm interested in continuing my DevOps journey with a cloud-native product and working in both greenfield and brownfield development. I would like to continue writing and learning infrastructure as code and supporting kubernetes environments in public cloud. I'm interested in learning more in the SRE space, including observability stacks and adding automation to remove toil.
