Summary

I recently completed the Silver Linings program with AWS where I learned about different cloud services and best work practices to support customers. I also learned about creating highly available and resilient applications, and DevOps tools to adopt and enforce Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery best practices on AWS. During this program, I also achieved the AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification and am now preparing for the AWS SysOps Administrator Certification next.

Before the Silver Linings program, I participated in a boot camp called Pursuit. At Pursuit, I learned about web development and learned how to create dynamic websites with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, and I used libraries for building user interfaces with React.js. I also learned to pull data from APIs, created my own CRUD APIs with Node.js, and managed them with Postman. To store my data, I connected my apps to PostgreSQL databases.

In my previous job as a Senior Audio Visual Technician, I ensured guests and clients could conduct high-quality video conferences. In this role, I coordinated with the catering team and room booking agents to ensure that meetings had the right equipment, catering, and presentations. When troubleshooting equipment failed, I created tickets to get the right parties involved to solve the issue.

Expectations

I am currently looking to provide support for a company to build with cloud services mixed in with web technologies. Working in an environment that promotes growth and allows me to work on projects that contribute to the company.
