Data Scientist
Summary
Currently I am working as a software engineer at Brainboxes but previous to this I completed a Particle Physics PhD at the University of Liverpool working on the T2K experiment.
My PhD involved a lot of big data analysis and I am still very passionate about data analytics and data science.
My thesis involved manipulating large amounts of data to better understand nuclear interaction models for use in Monte Carlo generators.
I also worked in the calibration group where I gained experience in SQL.
My current role has allowed me to gain key skills in Python, DevOps, Git and version control, SOLID principles, producing clean, reproducible code, and writing Technical documents to a high specification.
I have experience in Python, ContactContact(Pandas, numpy, matplotlib, etc) Contact data structures, basic algorithms, IoT, Agile working, Unit/integration testing, HTML, CSS, Jupyter notebooks, Git, SQL.
In my spare time I undergo a lot of self-development. I am currently completing Data Science courses on Udemy and Data camp. I am also working on personal Data science projects.
With Code First Girls I am enrolled on the Databases and SQL course, to further develop my skills.
