I am currently working in an early-stage startup as a Member of Technical Staff from June 2021 to analyze, track and detect network issues over the cloud infrastructure. I have pursued my M.S. in Computer Engineering. I believe that my 7+ years of professional experience, coupled with extensive research and product development provided me with the technical expertise and collaboration skills needed to solve advanced problems related to autonomous driving, perception, robotic manipulations & decision-making, multi-robot coordination, computer vision, navigation, and robotic sensor fusion.

I was a Robotics and Deep Learning Researcher in an R&D Lab for 4 years, where I worked on autonomous mobile robot management systems to offload heavy computation to cloud instances and proposed a distributed knowledge framework for collaborative robotics that enables robots to perform complex tasks in the poor network. As a part of the team in Amazon Picking Challenge -2017 , I solved various robotic vision problems on depth estimation, object detection, path planning, SLAM, visual servoing, and grasping objects and implemented the algorithms in real robots like- Turtlebot, P3Dx, UR5/10, etc. In addition, I contributed to research problems like - Multi-Robot Task Allocation System and Bio-Inspired Computing using Spiking Neural Network. I collaborated cross-functionally with other engineering teams to communicate our work to colleagues and management. This practical experience in sensor processing as well as working with a collaborative team, has given me the skills needed to excel in this role. I am a self-motivated person who is more passionate about exploring novel AI and ML algorithms to solve complex robotic problems which led me to develop a speech-controlled robot in my undergrad thesis.

Being a robotics engineer, I love to evaluate and develop scalable state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms for robot navigation, perception, and control. At university, I have been able to enhance my skills in core engineering areas like - Design & Analysis of Algorithms, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Advanced Operating Systems, FPGA Design, ASIC, and Computer Architecture. I spend 1 year at a Research Lab, working on Deep Learning projects to analyze the trigger faults in a MAC unit of a Deep Neural Network Accelerator, and designed a multi-stage algorithm to sense and prune the exploding gradients and ineffective weights that compress the model size up to 40%. In the summer of 2020, I worked as a Graduate Robotics Software Intern with a Fleet Autonomous Team to develop high-precision mapping and a robot framework to distribute tasks among a fleet of robots in distributed network protocol servers. I also took the lead in analyzing large datasets and working with raw sensor data. This opportunity has laid out a platform for me to understand and analyze the technical and algorithmic challenges in self-driving vehicles and produce safety-quality high-performance software for robotic frameworks.

My past professional experience and academic research projects are similar to the position you are offering: each involves finding the root cause of a problem, mapping a plan to tackle the problem, and designing the mechanisms that can solve it in a cost-effective and efficient manner. I have a proven track record in the field of robotics, computer vision, and machine learning that can make a positive impact in solving complex engineering problems as well as driving innovative results.
