Summary

I'm a data engineer with 3y experience in this area, with experience on AWS stack (S3, Glue, RDS) and GCP (BigQuery, Cloud SQL). I have previously worked as a software engineer at Google and Amazon for 5y, so I also have extensive experience with application programming. In fact, I try as much as I can to automate workflows in Python and ensure that even our SQL is up to code quality standards.

I lean more generalist than specialist, so I'm able to navigate complex codebases and debug my way out of almost anything. I understand that the hardest part is not technical, but modeling data according to the business experts understanding, so I do my best to communicate clearly about what a simple 1-N relationship may mean later in the pipeline.

Expectations

I'm looking for short-term data engineering projects that I can work from Brazil, with a preferred timezone between UTC+1 (Central Europe) and UTC-8 (California), on a product where my existing expertise with programming is valuable.
