Data Engineer
Summary
At Wayfair, I had the opportunity to work as a Data Engineering Co-op where I was able to customize automated ETL pipelines to gather performance data from millions of daily users. I also worked with stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate those into valuable data for analysis. My experience in resolving misunderstandings regarding dataset structures, improving ETL pipelines, and investigating and fixing SQL and LookML scripts have honed my communication and problem-solving skills.
I am always learning, always trying out new technologies, and looking for ways to influence what comes next. I have a collaborative attitude and like to collaborate with team members, coach them, participate in code reviews, and share skills and methods. My strong organizational and problem-solving skills, combined with my excellent oral and written communication skills, make me an effective communicator of technical visions, opportunities, and achievements.
I am also an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, and have experience collaborating with other developers, as well as members of all other teams. I am able to manage small to medium-sized data projects, develop reports, engage with customers to gather requirements, and troubleshoot issues. My experience with Jira/Confluence and GitHub makes me a good fit for the management of code in this role.
