Data center support
Summary
Help Desk support, including:
Receive and work or escalate tickets in ServiceNow, respond to phone or email requests, physical access management (biometrics, HID Proxy cards)
Layer 1 support and maintenance, including;
Server racking/configuration, subfloor and overhead network cabling, provision/de-provision
space and hardware
Systems support, including:
Patch management, tier 1/tier 2 remote hands, troubleshooting, incident response
Facilities maintenance, including:
General cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and data centers, monthly testing of critical infrastructure (generators), nightly inspection of critical infrastructure (rounds, UPS checks)
Expectations
I am looking for a 2nd of 3rd shift position, preferably in a data center, installing/uninstalling and supporting hardware, to include running cables, racking, provisioning, and configuring servers. I would also be comfortable performing remote tech support for end users, both software and hardware.
