Data Analyst

Summary

I am an experienced Certified Engineering Technologist and have worked primarily in the oil and gas industry over the past 20 years. For more than a decade I have worked with asset integrity groups as a data analyst, risk-based analyst, coordinator, advisor, and inspector. In 2018, I started an asset integrity services company where I would execute the day-to-day operations and development of the company's short and long-term objectives to provide clients with asset integrity management services. At this time, I am looking for opportunities and new challenges as an individual focused on data analytics and data science.

Through work experience, continued education, and professional development efforts, I have become proficient in utilizing data management and analysis tools such as Python (including extended libraries: Pandas, Numpy, Matplot), SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Meridium APM, MiniTab, and Excel.

At this time, I am in the process of completing an extensive data science program to expand my knowledge base regarding advanced data cleaning, APIs, web scrapping, Git and version control, 'R', ETL/ELT, advanced statistics, machine learning, and deep learning.

Some notable accomplishments and experiences include:

- Providing refinery stakeholders with data analysis regarding thickness measurements for all moderately-high and high risk process piping circuits to aid asset integrity, operations, and process engineering groups to prioritize critical maintenance and repair scopes.

- Complete risk analysis of refinery pressure equipment identified as potential candidates for service interval extensions or inspection deferrals. Thorough analysis of the equipment's inspection history, thickness data, operating conditions, corrosion rates, failure consequence, and remaining life were required to prioritize resource allocation.

- Complete statistical analysis on shell-and-tube heat exchanger thickness data to provide guidance and recommendations to management groups for tubular inspection progression.

- Co-authored extreme value analysis procedure for the collection and analysis of thickness data and inspection progression of shell-and-tube heat exchangers.

- Managed a refinery's Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) program as part of the Mechanical Integrity Group.

- Superuser for Meridium APM database management system; provided support in developing and implementing rollout of Meridium to the asset integrity group. Provided support to develop Meridium database relationships, asset integrity KPIs, and dashboards.

- Co-authored in-house non-destructive examination (NDE) inspection practices procedure.

- Developed laminar/turbulent flow model calculator for multi-phase pipelines.

Expectations

I am looking for opportunities that provide an environment where hard work and achievement are rewarded. To work on challenging projects where I'm encouraged to grow, can broaden my capabilities, and build on my experiences. I expect my employer to provide the necessary assets and tools to complete assignments in a manner that benefits both me and my employer. I'm looking for an employer that hires professionals that take their work seriously but, are also good-humored and engaging. Finally, I expect my employer to respect work-life balance and see that their employee's well-being is necessary for the company to succeed.
