Summary

I think the most influential professional and academic experiences I have had were those that involved writing and research. My academic background is diverse, consisting of sociology, theology, religion, and cultural/ethnic studies. However, across all disciplines, I have found an affinity and talent for writing. As for my professional background, I have experience in copywriting, speechwriting, and communications. In the past, I contributed to my university newspaper and a student-led cultural publication. I also have experience as a blogger, mainly for theological and religious content.

Expectations

I'm interested in writing for publications (whether on staff, contract, or freelance) that emphasize the connections between religion, social impact, social justice, and similar subjects. I have experience as a former clergy person as well as a background in theological education and social science, and I'm very passionate about writing about and researching how communities can be more welcoming and inclusive of people from different faith and cultural backgrounds. I am also studying in a field that is similar to the sociology of religion, along with interfaith dialogue, and I would love to be able to implement what I learn.
