Summary

As an L3 Software Engineer at Blue Parrot Software LLC since May 2023, I specialize in AWS cloud development with a strong focus on leveraging the AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) using TypeScript. In my role, I have spearheaded the design and implementation of scalable systems, enhancing both system reliability and scalability. I engineered efficient data retrieval systems using DynamoDB with Global Secondary Indexes (GSIs), seamlessly integrating them into AWS AppSync and API Gateway. I have specialized in both Velocity Template Language (VTL) and the latest JavaScript/TypeScript resolvers to improve API performance. I implemented robust authentication and authorization mechanisms using AWS Cognito, integrating User and Identity Pools with well-defined IAM roles to secure application access.

Furthermore, I configured client-side applications to utilize S3 buckets linked with CloudFront CDNs, ensuring secure and efficient content uploads and downloads adhering to the latest security protocols. I developed custom IAM policies and statements to establish fine-grained access control, significantly reducing potential data leaks and enhancing system security. By selectively employing AWS Lambda for critical functions tailored to the system's unique needs, I optimized system efficiency, reduced overhead, and improved response times. Additionally, I utilized AWS CloudWatch and CloudTrail for comprehensive monitoring and logging, expertly configuring them to track system performance, set up alerts, and facilitate advanced analytics and system audits.

I created and managed AWS CodePipeline projects to automate CI/CD workflows, significantly improving deployment practices and project consistency. Beyond technical contributions, I led and mentored a dynamic team of interns and junior developers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. This role has allowed me to harness and expand my expertise in AWS cloud technologies, focusing on creating secure, efficient, and scalable solutions.
