Cloud/DevOps Engineer

Summary

I am a motivated and detail-oriented cloud enthusiast with practical experience in designing, deploying, and managing AWS-based solutions. I trained through the ALX Cloud Computing program, with hands-on work in core services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB. I have built and automated scalable cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and completed end-to-end projects involving CI/CD pipelines, serverless architectures, and multi-tier application setups.

In my cloud journey, I have tackled real-world projects like the Cloud Resume Challenge, where I integrated API Gateway, Lambda, and DynamoDB with Terraform to create a fully automated backend. I have also proposed and initiated AWS-powered solutions that combine cloud infrastructure with user-centric functionality, such as building a motivation system for accountability partners using EventBridge, Lambda, SNS, and S3.

Beyond the individual projects, I have actively contributed to peer learning by demystifying cloud concepts, hosting learning events, and supporting fellow students through debugging sessions and resource sharing. I am currently exploring IoT and embedded systems to bridge cloud services and hardware to build intelligent, connected solutions.

Expectations

In my next role, I am looking for an opportunity that fosters both technical growth and meaningful contribution. I hope to work within a team that values collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning, where I can sharpen my skills in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and emerging technologies like IoT and serverless computing.

I am eager to take on challenges that stretch my current abilities, contribute to real-world projects with impact, and learn from experienced professionals who are generous with their knowledge. A culture that encourages curiosity, experimentation, and ownership is important to me, as is the space to bring my creative ideas to life, especially those that blend tech with user experience and human connection.

Ultimately, I am looking for a role where I can grow into a well-rounded cloud engineer, contribute to both the technical and cultural fabric of the team, and feel that my work makes a difference.
