CAE Engineer
America/Denver - MST / MDT
Summary
As a CAE Software Developer at Coreform Inc. since 2019, I've led the development of methods to improve conditioning of trimmed spline systems while contributing to core solver and pre-processor development. My professional journey includes four years as a Safety CAE Engineer at General Motors, where I analyzed whole vehicle simulations for regulatory crash assessments and evaluated injury risk in autonomous vehicle environments using the Global Human Body Model. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at Brigham Young University focused on isogeometric and immersed methods, building upon my M.S. in Mechanical Engineering where my thesis explored ligament model fidelity in finite element analysis of the human lumbar spine. My research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, examining ligament formulation in finite element analysis and material characterization of human anterior longitudinal ligament. With strong programming skills in C++, Python, JavaScript, and LaTeX, and proficiency in various analysis software including LS-Dyna and Abaqus, I bridge academic research with practical industry applications to advance engineering simulation capabilities.
Expectations
I am looking for a position that will apply my skill in experience either in using FEA for analysis or developing FEA software. I am particularly interested in new frontier such as isogeometric analysis, trimmed spline and applications of AI/ML in FEA.
