As a seasoned data engineer with hands-on experience in Python, I have developed and managed complex data pipelines using a variety of tools, including Airflow, Matillion, Dataflow, and dbt. My proficiency extends to BigQuery, where I have optimized performance through schedule management and efficient bucket utilization.
In addition, I have leveraged AWS to enhance query efficiency and Azure for stored procedures, Data Factory orchestration, and Databricks analytics. My primary focus has always been to ensure data quality, integrity, and accuracy throughout the data lifecycle, employing robust governance practices and validation mechanisms.
My expertise in Looker extends beyond basic dashboard creation. I have developed Looker dashboards through APIs in REACT and Ruby platforms, connecting Looker to Redshift and BigQuery, and creating data models from scratch. I have optimized Looker latency time using advanced techniques such as derived tables, datagroups, and persist tables, while also developing code views for period-over-period comparisons.
Moreover, I have hands-on experience with Looker administration tools, including setting user data hierarchies and manifest variables, to enhance usability and performance. Additionally, I have worked with Power BI and Microstrategy, further expanding my toolkit for data visualization and reporting.
I am passionate about leveraging data to drive insights and inform strategic decision-making. I am actively seeking new opportunities to apply my skills and expertise in innovative projects and collaborations.
