Summary

I am a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist with >10 years of experience in the industry.

My expertise lies in the domain of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Bioinformatics for genetic diagnostics. Most of my projects involve (1) collecting and processing structured and unstructured data, (2) storing them in MySQL databases, which I designed and (3) querying these and other external big databases to create customized data reports for extracting meaningful insights. Furthermore, I contribute Python scripts to NGS data analysis pipelines as well as to Quality Control workflows. Additionally, I use Flask, React and Bootstrap to build web applications that enable internal stakeholders to fetch, analyze and visualize patient data, increasing the efficiency of their daily routine workflows. Currently I am delving into Machine Learning algorithms and Applied Data Science with Python.
