Summary

Rafal is a pragmatic programmer/DevOps/team lead with 20+ years of professional experience in the software development area. During his career he has been engaged in every IT project's phase from analysis, and early development up to support and maintenance activities for large/enterprise solutions. He wore many hats: developer, consultant, client support technician, and team leader, thanks to that he has a very broad perspective and well understanding of the IT industry and clients' needs. He cooperated with geographically distributed teams, in multicultural environments. Always ensures to provide the highest business value using the appropriate methodologies, tools, and processes taking into consideration the quality, budget, time, and client's expectations. Specialized mainly in Microsoft technologies developed almost every software system tier, database design/programming, middleware, windows desktop apps, web solutions, security/performance assessments, etc. He is a fast learner who likes new technologies however is not a fanatic of the latest new cool sexy (sometimes immature) technologies, the most important thing for him is a reliably working solution that addresses clients' needs.

Expectations

I am open to interesting projects/contracts that utilize my long and wide experience in IT. It could be Azure DevOps, Architect roles with strong programming skillsets, but also the regular software development (coding) positions. I am very flexible when it comes to the sector, positions, and technologies, can implement microservices or improve CI/CD mechanisms for 100 developers, automate some processes, migrate on-prem to cloud systems and create cloud-native systems. Work in green fields or improve brownfields. Work in teams or totally independently. I am client centric engineer who can talk with the business and balance the quality, and scope in order to meet the client's expectations taking into consideration budget and time.
