Associate Software Engineer

Summary

Most recently, I've been a developer for a telecommunications provider (T-Mobile) creating backend external-facing APIs used by its national retail partners (such as Apple, Walmart, Best Buy), including processes from development to testing to documentation, and then triaging any issues that arise. I'm also experienced in cloud security, having worked on migrating secrets to AWS Secrets Manager, automated sanity testing for Kubernetes environments, and patching security vulnerabilities. Skills include Java, Springboot, AWS, Python, Kubernetes, Splunk, JUnit, Cucumber, Golang and C++.

About me: I've come up through T-Mobile's "Early in Careers" mentoring and development program, beginning in 2020 as an intern, my sophomore year at UW, and continuing through graduation to a full-time position as an Associate Software Engineer. I have a strong learning and growth mindset, having "bootstrapped" myself into UW's competitive CSSE program with no coding experience prior to college.

Expectations

Looking for an opportunity to share and build on my strengths in backend development as part of a collaborative team. At this stage of my career, I've benefited from working with mentors as well as acting as a mentor to incoming interns, and I highly value collaboration and professional relationships. I would enjoy continuing to work with APIs and am open to new opportunities. Very willing to expand my skillset with certifications and any additional training my future employer would recommend.
